wednesday miama beach
The miami winter is really tiring, at 75 degrees daily, shockingly blue skies, heated swimming pools and smoking in bars, what a concept- though don't eat the food - everyplace we went was awful, expensive and such large portions, the only place I can truly recommend is cheeseburger baby on washington ave. the best, friendliest and cutest staff.
The encore screening for the Spiegel tent people was packed and raucous, and the BONE TONE TRIO [staso, muz, bunker] was in attendance for the first time since the New York Underground, to do the Q n A [note if any of our new miami readers, yes people do read the bone blog, have photographs of us in our directors chairs I'd love to have them. [bonefilm@netzero.com], but again another shout out to dana and ed and the miami beach film society, THEY DO FILM. Muz opened the open bar hile in her director chair, and the party started, those circus people are really thirsty, and we're all out on espanola way [the cutest block in miami beach]. there exists an incriminating photograph of the bone tone trio, at macs club deuce on 14th st., where we hung with artist bill robb, who is possessed by an incredible nasty wit. Overheard conversation # 1 - between he and bunker, Mr. Robb complaining about the alone time he spends with his bottle, bunkers retort, who do you think I am, Dr. Phil? Everything begins to go hazy at this point, though I do remember Ms. Muz forcing me to take a romantic walk on the beach [in your dreams staso], but it was truly beautiful.
Monday, work on the new script, LOVE, LOVE AND LOVE AGAIN - aided with new notes from our resident script doctor, Robert Hawk, we couldn't avoid it any longer. It was the 3rd scene in, the graveyard scene where Richard Gratiotsteen is being buried, when they both attacked me for my idea to put candles on the flag draped coffin. Staso it's one o'clock in the afternoon, they're not going to be
lighting candles, muz, i hope the wind isn't blowing. staso- but I always saw the american flag burning on the coffin - muz pipes in, well that can still be done, how? you know, just have a hippie chick fire dancer at the grave side, bunker - that's good muz, I like when things happen for no reason-muz- so you have the hippy dancing with the fire through out the whole scene and at one
point she loses control of the fire and it lands on the coffin in the grave, staso -but isn't stolzberger in the grave clinging to the coffin, yeah he catches on fire too, bunker- you're right muz that mink coat that he's wearing will go up in a flash - staso - it's perfect the flag and the mink coat on fire. muz- you know guys i'm really good at this. I'll say, new addition the hippie chick fire dancer.
As you can tell whenever the bone tone trio gets together there is a reversion to early detroit adolesence. conversation snippets, staso do you ever take a shower? no. go in the pool says the topless muz, I would but i don't see any knockers out there, [note for new yorkers women bathe topless here] bunker do you see any, I don't see any knockers either, muz hits us. I go in the pool.
This is the creative process as we force march across the script, 40 pages a
day.
